چکیده
EUNITE, the European Network on Intelligent Technologies for Smart Adaptive Systems started January 1, 2001. Its targets were to join forces within the area of Intelligent Technologies for better understanding of the potential of hybrid systems and to provide guidelines for exploiting their practical implementations and particularly, to foster synergies that contribute towards building Smart Adaptive Systems implemented in industry as well as in other sectors of the economy.

Modeling the Bank’s Client behavior using Case Based Reasoning and Self-Organizing Map
EUNITE the European Network of Excellence on Intelligent Technologies for Smart Adaptive Systems (http://www.eunite.org) is launched a competition ”Modeling the Bank’s Client behavior using Intelligent Technologies”. In this work we propose a Case Based Reasoning system whose case database consists of a Self-Organizing Map (SOM). A simple system but efficient, fast and adaptive.
متن کاملEUNITE Competition 2002: An N-Tuple Ensemble Classifier Model for Predicting whether a Bank Client is Active or Not
This report presents one selected strategy for dealing with the EUNITE competition task of prediction whether a bank client is active or not. The chosen classification model is based on an ensemble of weak classifiers. Each weak classifier is a simple n-tuple unit, which is probing part of the input attributes and which can deliver as output a vote on one or both classes – active or passive. Th...
متن کاملA computational intelligence scheme for the prediction of the daily peak load
Forecasting of future electricity demand is very important for decision making in power system operation and planning. In recent years, due to privatization and deregulation of the power industry, accurate electricity forecasting has become an important research area for efficient electricity production. This paper presents a time series approach for mid-term load forecasting (MTLF) in order to...
متن کاملWorld-wide competition within the EUNITE network
The paper presents a new method for the forecast of time series. This method requires no model of the signal process. It is based on an arrangement of the current situation with situations from the past. With the aid of a fuzzy-processing algorithm, the forecast values are determined from this arrangement. The effectivness is shown at an example for electric load forecast of a power distributio...
